Aduke Ogunsanya's comeback cut short

Choco Mucho revealed that its middle blocker Aduke Ogunsanya has been diagnosed with a torn ACL and additional structural damage in her left knee.

The unfortunate injury occurred during the team's recent clash against NXLED on February 22, 2024.

The official statement from Choco Mucho provided details on the severity of Ogunsanya's condition: "After the latest round of medical tests, the doctors diagnosed Aduke to have injured her ACL and other structures in her left knee last February 22, 2024, in the game versus NXLED. This injury will require surgery and 9-12 months of rehabilitation before she can make a comeback."

This setback is particularly disheartening for Ogunsanya, who had only recently made a triumphant return to the court after overcoming an ACL tear in 2022.

In response to the unfortunate news, the team's official statement conveyed a mix of disappointment and confidence in Ogunsanya's resilience: "We are disheartened by this unfortunate development, considering Aduke had just fully recovered from her previous injury and is making a strong return. We are, however, confident in her resilience and spirit to overcome this challenge once again."

Choco Mucho, having faced a similar ordeal last year with Des Cheng's ACL tear, now finds itself once again navigating the challenges of rehabilitating a key player.

The Flying Titans express their commitment to providing Ogunsanya with the best possible treatment and medical attention for a complete recovery.

The statement concluded with a call for support: "Let us all keep Aduke in our prayers for her quick and complete recovery. Thank you!"
