Akari brought in three-time Olympian Prisilla Rivera for its upcoming debut in the 2022 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference.
The Chargers made the announcement on Wednesday.
Rivera, a 37-year-old spiker from the Dominican Republic, has already competed at the international level for almost 22 years.
Her addition will surely help a very young Akari squad that is composed of former collegiate standouts such as Michelle Cobb, Jho Maraguinot, Dani Ravena, Trisha Genesis, and Lycha Ebon.
Rivera last suited up in Indonesia with Jakarta Pertamina Energi.
The PVL Reinforced Conference will begin on October 8.
