Akari has announced that American middle blocker Oly Okaro will join the team as its import for the upcoming 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference.
Standing at 185 cm, the 28-year-old Okaro brings a wealth of experience to the Power Chargers.
Okaro began her collegiate career at San Francisco University from 2014 to 2016 before transferring to Arizona State University, where she played from 2016 to 2018.
Her professional journey started in 2019 with Finnish club Hämeenlinnan Lentopallokerho.
After a hiatus during the pandemic, she resumed her career with Greek clubs Zaon Kifisias and ASP Thetis.
In the last Reinforced Conference in 2022, Akari fielded Prisilla Rivera as their import, finishing in eighth place.
Most recently, Akari recorded a 5-6 record, placing seventh in the previous conference.
With Okaro on board, the team aims to improve its standing in the upcoming conference.
