Jhoana Maraguinot has been revealed as the second player signed by Akari in preparation for its Premier Volleyball League debut later this year.
The Chargers made the announcement on Thursday.
Maraguinot, 26, played for Perlas back in the 2021 PVL Open Conference and BaliPure during the 2022 Open.
Perlas though took a leave of absence for the 2022 season while the Purest Water Defenders opted not to participate in the Invitational Conference set to begin on Saturday at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
The 5-foot-7 spiker joined Akari's tryouts last July 1 and 3 at Pace Academy in Quezon City.
Akari is set to make its PVL debut in the Reinforced Conference set to begin this October.
