Brooke Van Sickle heads to Petro Gazz

Petro Gazz has enlisted the services of outside hitter Brooke Van Sickle to enhance its campaign for the upcoming 2024 Premier Volleyball League season.

"An angel sent from heaven has arrived to refuel our journey! We're thrilled to have you here, Brooke Van Sickle," declared the Angels in a Facebook post.

The former NCAA Division I player recently concluded her tenure with the Cypriot volleyball club AEL Limassol.

The 5-foot-9 spiker commenced her collegiate career at Oregon University before transferring to the University of Hawaii to pursue beach volleyball.

Van Sickle boasts an impressive resume, securing the MVP, Best Scorer, and Best Outside Spiker awards to lead the 2021 US NCAA Big West’s All-Conference Team during her final year with the Rainbow Wahine.

She is poised to fortify the Petro Gazz open hitter rotation, joining forces with Jonah Sabete, Nicole Tiamzon, and Myla Pablo.

The Angels experienced a disappointing sixth-place finish in the Second All-Filipino Conference, beginning the competition with a 4-0 record but ultimately losing five of their last seven games, resulting in their elimination from semifinals contention.
