Candon City is set to host an exciting doubleheader for the Premier Volleyball League Second All-Filipino Conference this Saturday at the modern 6,000-seater arena.
Mayor Eric Singson expressed his honor in having Candon City as the host for the third stop of the PVL on Tour. The event will feature the teams led by Ivy Lacsina, F2 Logistics, and Dimdim Pacres, Galeries Towers, as well as Jho Maraguinot, Nxled, and Grethcel Soltones, PetroGazz.
"Our commitment to hosting these games aligns with our vision for the Candon City Arena - to prominently position it on the national sports map as a gracious host for significant sporting events, including PVL games and other national tournaments," Singson stated. "By joining hands with us, you not only support a momentous sporting event but also contribute to the growth and recognition of our beloved city," he added.
The clubs arrived in batches on Thursday and were able to train for the past two days to become familiar with the brand-new venue.
The Cargo Movers and the Highrisers will take the floor at 4 p.m., while the Chameleons and the Angels will collide at 6 p.m.
