Capital1 signs Russian spiker Marina Tushova

Capital1 announced the signing of Marina Tushova, a formidable Russian outside hitter, for the upcoming 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference.


Mandy Romero, owner of Capital1, unveiled this major acquisition during the PVL Draft Lottery at Cignal's studio in Mandaluyong City.


Tushova, aged 25 and towering at 185 centimeters, brings a wealth of international experience to the team.


She began her professional career in Russia, where she showcased her skills across various clubs and notably clinched gold with the Russian national team at the 2016 Europe Under-19 Championship.


Tushova's journey also includes stints with esteemed European teams such as Groupe E Valtra in Switzerland and Istres Provence Volley and Vandœuvre Nancy Volley-Ball in Italy.


Her return to Russia saw her don the jersey of Sparta Nizhny Novgorod.


Romero further bolstered Capital1's lineup by announcing the signing of Iris Tolenada, adding depth and experience to the team's roster ahead of what promises to be an electrifying conference.


With Tushova and Tolenada on board, Capital1 is set to make a strong statement in the league, aiming to challenge for top honors in the PVL.
