Capital1 Solar Energy, determined to turn heads in the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season, will conduct a two-day tryout at the San Sebastian College-Recoletos gym starting on Tuesday.
Roger Gorayeb, a multi-titled coach from SSC-R appointed by sisters Milka and Mandy Romero to oversee the Power Spikers, will lead the tryouts with the assistance of his capable team.
Close to 100 players from various clubs, colleges, and universities have expressed their intention to participate in the tryouts, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to showcase their skills in the country’s hottest sporting league and be part of the "newest kid on the block."
Both Milka and Mandy are excited about their initial venture into the sporting world, although they are well aware that they must navigate the proverbial eye of the needle before challenging the league giants.
Milka, a former co-captain of the Ateneo football team, and Mandy, who graduated Magna Cum Laude at Georgetown University in Washington DC, where she practiced Muay Thai, are ready for the challenges ahead.
