Ced Domingo joins Akari

Upon her return from Thailand, Ced Domingo will join a new Premier Volleyball League team. The 2022 Open Conference Finals MVP is transferring from Creamline to Akari after her stint with Nakhon Ratchasima.

Moving to a new team was a tough decision for Domingo, who spent the past five years with the Cool Smashers. However, it was a necessary decision.

"Leaving Creamline is always a difficult decision. That's how it felt in October, especially when the offer for the Thailand stint came abruptly, but I thought opportunities like this don't come often, so I grabbed it,” she said.

“No regrets because there are so many learnings here that I know I will cherish from this experience.

“And this time, it's another tough decision to leave them for good. Honestly, the management has always been so understanding, and until my last conversation with Sir Alan (Acero), I still felt valued, so I will always have high respect for the entire Creamline family,” Domingo continued.

Once she returns, she joins an up-and-coming team headlined by veterans Dindin Santiago-Manabat, Grethcel Soltones, and Bang Pineda. Rising stars Faith Nisperos, Fifi Sharma, and Justine Jazareno are also part of the squad.

“The events are overwhelming. It's like that when you open the door, and there are many knocking; it's truly overwhelming. Gratefully, my VP family helped me sort things out. They assisted me in finding the best team that would match my interests, goals, and values, and a team that will help me improve more,” she expressed.

“I’m really happy with the decision I made, especially because I know I took everything into consideration. From being overwhelmed, now I feel the excitement.”
