Choco Mucho's middle blocker, Cherry Nunag, holds the top spot as the league's No. 1 blocker following a week of action in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference.
Nunag, who recently played for the Philippine women's national volleyball team, made a stylish comeback and averaged 1.00 blocks per set, totaling six rejections in the Flying Titans' first two conference games.
Standing at 5 feet 11 inches, Nunag finished with six points, consisting of three blocks, against Farm Fresh. In the game against Foton, she scored 12 points, also recording three blocks.
Dell Palomata from PLDT secured the second spot with an average of 1.00 blocks per set, while Jaila Atienza from Foton came in third with the same average.
Action will resume on Tuesday with a four-game lineup at the Philsports Arena.
In the morning games, Petro Gazz and Farm Fresh will open up the day at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Cignal-Foton clash at 12:00 p.m.
Meanwhile in the afternoon session, Akari takes on Chery Tiggo at 4:00 p.m., while F2 Logistics and Choco Mucho will fight for the number one spot in Group B at 6:30 p.m.
