Cignal has signed Greek outside hitter Eva Chantava ahead of the 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference.
Chantava, who impressed Filipino fans earlier this year with Nakhon Ratchasima QminC VC at the AVC Women’s Champions League, helped the Thai club claim a bronze finish at the Philsports Arena.
“Greek outside hitter Evangelia ‘Eva’ Chantava is set to bring her awesome energy to the Cignal HD Spikers for the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference,” the team announced on social media, noting her decorated career with multiple MVP awards and international titles.
The 34-year-old veteran has played professionally across Italy, Turkey, Thailand, Azerbaijan, Romania, Brazil, Indonesia, and Japan, bringing two decades of experience to the Spikers.
She is expected to boost Cignal’s firepower alongside rising star Erika Santos, the PVL On Tour MVP, while complementing the steady leadership of Vanie Gandler.
With Chantava joining the roster, Cignal looks to not only replicate but finish higher than their third place finish a year ago.
