Former ZUS Coffee blocker Michelle Gamit is officially the newest member of the Creamline Cool Smashers, adding even more depth to an already formidable middle blocker rotation.
Creamline made the announcement Tuesday afternoon via its official Facebook page, just hours before their highly anticipated 2025 PVL On Tour matchup against Cignal.
“May bagong Pink Volleybelle na magbibigay sa atin ng Good Vibes! Mga ka-vibes, sabay-sabay nating i-welcome si Michelle Gamit! We are so happy to have you as a new member of our GV-Kada,” the post read.
Gamit now joins a crowded frontcourt that includes veterans Jeanette Panaga, Pau Soriano, Lorie Bernardo, and a pair of promising rookies in Sheena Toring and Nica Celis. Also listed in the middle blocker pool is team captain Bea De Leon, who is currently recovering from an injury but is coming off her best performance yet during the 2025 All-Filipino Conference.
The 5-foot-11 Gamit played a key role in ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles' surprise playoff run during the last conference. Known for her sharp instincts at the net and steady presence in the middle, she formed a potent tandem with reigning Rookie of the Year Thea Gagate that helped propel the expansion team into its first postseason appearance.
With her addition, Creamline gains not only a reliable net defender but also a proven performer who can thrive under pressure—something that aligns with the Cool Smashers’ pursuit of another title in the league’s mid-season tour.
Gamit’s arrival marks another chapter in the Cool Smashers’ continuous effort to reload and stay dominant, even with an already star-studded roster.
