Dawn Macandili's outstanding performance against Cignal has placed her at the top of the best diggers list in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference, following an eventful first week of action.
The defensive ace from F2 Logistics claimed the top spot by averaging 8.43 digs per set in the Cargo Movers' first two conference games, both of which they won.
Macandili recorded 12 excellent digs in F2 Logistics' opening day victory against Farm Fresh. She then secured the highest number of digs in the professional ranks with 48 in their consecutive win against the HD Spikers.
PLDT's Kath Arado ranked second, averaging 7.67 percent, while Cae Lazo from the Foxies placed third with 4.33 percent.
Action will resume on Tuesday with a four-game lineup at the Philsports Arena.
In the morning games, Petro Gazz and Farm Fresh will open up the day at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Cignal-Foton clash at 12:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, in the afternoon session, Akari takes on Chery Tiggo at 4:00 p.m., while F2 Logistics and Choco Mucho will fight for the number one spot in Group B at 6:30 p.m.
