De Guzman, Catindig anchor Alas Women for SEA V.League

Jia De Guzman of Creamline and Dawn Catindig of Cignal are set to steer a reenergized Alas Pilipinas squad as the team heads to Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, for the opening leg of the 2025 Southeast Asia V.League.

The duo headlines a solid core of Premier Volleyball League standouts and up-and-coming UAAP stars determined to continue the country's resurgence on the international volleyball stage.

De Guzman and Catindig will be joined by fellow VTV Cup holdovers, including middle blocker Dell Palomata of PLDT, wing spiker Leila Cruz of Capital1, Choco Mucho stalwart Maddie Madayag, and Eya Laure.

Akari’s duo of Mars Alba and Justine Jazareno also remain in the mix, providing depth and stability in the setting and libero positions, respectively.

Notably, several names who were listed only as reserves in the previous tournament have been activated: Bella Belen (Capital1), Fifi Sharma (Akari), Thea Gagate (ZUS Coffee), and Vanie Gandler (Cignal).

Completing the team are free agent Alyssa Solomon, La Salle's Angel Canino, Shaina Nitura of Adamson and Cla Loresco of Far Eastern University.

The opening leg of the 2025 SEA V.League is scheduled from August 1 to 3 in Thailand—an early test that could set the tone for the rest of the year’s international campaigns.
