Cignal head coach Shaq delos Santos is hoping that Rachel Daquis and company can make it back in time for the HD Spikers' semifinals campaign.
On Saturday night, Cignal only had eight players at its disposal against PLDT.
Ayel Estra?ero, Glaudine Troncoso, and Roselyn Doria were not available for the second straight time due to health issues while Rachel Daquis was recently put under the league's health and safety protocols.
Meanwhile, top spiker Ces Molina is still recovering from the right ankle sprain she sustained back in the team's previous loss to Petro Gazz.
Backup middle blocker Marist Layug made it into the second set of the game after traveling to San Juan from her graduation at the University of the Philippines.
The HD Spikers, despite putting up a gallant fight, eventually lost to the High Speed Hitters, 19-25, 20-25, 25-21, 22-25, at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.
"Health issues. Good thing tomorrow yung tatlo. Siyempre nagfofollow kami sa protocols. Tomorrow si Estranero, Doria, and si Chai Troncoso makakasama na sa team," said delos Santos.
"Sila Rachel siguro Wednesday. We don't know yet pa din kasi hindi ko pa alam kung pano yung schedule," he added.
Delos Santos is hoping that he can finally have his full arsenal come the playoffs where they will take on Creamline, PLDT, Army-Black Mamba, Kobe Shinwa Women's University, and KingWhale Taipei.
"Hopefully maging healthy na lahat kami kasi ang hirap. Grabe yung naencounter namin pero kami inaccept namin in a positive way and alam ko may magandang purpose din si Lord. Kailangan lang namin maging strong and talagang laban ng laban."
