Nxled has announced the appointment of Italian volleyball coach Ettore Guidetti as their new head coach for the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference. The Chameleons revealed the news through a post on their Facebook page on Friday afternoon, expressing their excitement about the new leadership.
“We’re thrilled to have you here, Coach! It’s time to get everything back on track in the gym! Let’s go!” the post stated, reflecting the team’s enthusiasm for the new chapter.
Guidetti brings a wealth of experience to Nxled, with a 23-year career that spans multiple countries and prestigious teams. His coaching resume includes stints with several Italian clubs, as well as teams in Poland, Sweden, and Romania. Most recently, Guidetti was at the helm of Volley Soverato in Italy’s Serie A2.
In addition to his club experience, Guidetti has also managed Sweden’s senior and youth national teams from 2019 to 2022, further showcasing his diverse coaching background.
The appointment comes on the heels of a challenging season for Nxled under former coach Chen Gang. In the recently concluded Reinforced Conference, the Chameleons struggled with a 1-7 record, managing only one victory before enduring a streak of seven consecutive losses.
