Eya Laure completes Chery Tiggo's signing spree

One of the country's top prospects is finally going pro.

On Sunday, Chery Tiggo announced that it has acquired the services of University of Sto. Tomas star Eya Laure to conclude an impressive signing haul that featured top-flight UAAP stars ahead of the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference.

The daughter of former PBA standout Eddie Laure ended her final year with the Golden Tigresses as the UAAP’s top scorer after averaging 18.86 points per game.

Laure ranked third in efficiency with a 38.17 success rate, fourth in blocks with 0.48 per set, and eighth in digs with 2.21 per frame in an impressive season that saw him lead UST to the Final Four for the third straight time.

The former UAAP Juniors MVP will reunite and share the court once again with her older sister EJ Laure in the Crossovers.

Chery Tiggo also announced the arrival of National University seniors Jennifer Nierva, Joyme Cagande, and Cess Robles, and Laure’s long-time UST teammate and good friend Imee Hernandez.

Laure is expected to start for the Crossovers and team up with the likes of Mylene Paat, Cza Carandang, and EJ in a bid to give the Chery Tiggo franchise its first title since winning the first-ever professional championship in 2021.
