Farm Fresh continues to gear up for the upcoming third conference of the 2023 Premier Volleyball League season.
The Foxies have announced the signing of former Gerflor standouts Justine Dorog and Alyssa Bertolano through their social media accounts.
"The Farm Fresh family continues to grow as we welcome outside hitter Alyssa Bertolano into the fold. We hope to see you prosper and shine brighter in your new home, Foxy," Farm Fresh said in a Facebook post.
"We need offense. We need solid first balls. But more than anything, we need a veteran to guide the young players. And this one fits the bill perfectly. Farm Fresh welcomes Justine Dorog as the newest Foxy! Watch and support her and the rest of the team in the upcoming PVL conference," the team stated in a separate post.
Both Dorog and Bertolano played for the Defenders in the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference, where they finished winless in the group stage with a 0-4 record. Gerflor also suffered a defeat against Foton in the battle for 11th place, ultimately securing the 12th position.
Dorog is set to reunite with her college coach Jerry Yee in Farm Fresh, while Bertolano will have the opportunity to team up with her former UAAP rivals Trisha Tubu and Kate Santiago.
Farm Fresh aims to integrate the two players during their trip to Hong Kong for vacation.
"We will be going on a trip. We are thankful to our sponsor. They will take us to Hong Kong. This is also a significant opportunity to develop the players' chemistry," Yee remarked.
