Farm Fresh has officially added veteran middle blocker Des Clemente-De Guzman to its roster ahead of the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season, the club announced on Friday morning.
De Guzman, a former Best Middle Blocker awardee, joins the Foxies after two seasons and three conferences with Capital1, where she was a foundational piece of the Solar Spikers since their debut in early 2024.
Now 30 years old, the six-foot-tall De Guzman brings a wealth of experience to her fourth professional team, having previously suited up for F2 Logistics and Petro Gazz before her time with Capital1.
“You’ve probably seen her in some of the Foxies’ IG stories, but today we make it official: Welcome to the Farm Fresh family, Des Clemente-De Guzman! Exciting times ahead as our frontline becomes a little taller with you and Alohi!” the team posted on its official Facebook page.
With her arrival, De Guzman joins a frontline rotation already featuring 6-foot Lorene Toring and 5-foot-9 Rizza Cruz. Her length, quickness, and timing at the net are expected to provide a much-needed boost in blocking and middle attack efficiency for the young squad.
Farm Fresh also made waves during the recent PVL Draft by selecting 6-foot-3 international setter Alohi Robins-Hardy. Despite being a playmaker by position, Robins-Hardy’s towering presence and international experience are seen as key assets that can change the tempo of games on both offense and defense.
In addition, the Foxies picked up former Far Eastern University libero Ann Monares to strengthen their floor coverage and solidify their first ball.
Following a frustrating campaign in the 2024–25 All-Filipino Conference, where Farm Fresh failed to advance past the play-in and finished 10th overall, the team is eager to turn the page with a retooled and more seasoned lineup.
