Grethcel Soltones is embarking on a new chapter in her volleyball journey by officially signing with Akari for the upcoming 2024 Premier Volleyball League season.
Having dedicated the past three seasons to Petro Gazz, Soltones played a pivotal role in the squad's triumph, notably contributing to the 2022 Reinforced Conference championship victory.
Hailing from San Sebastian, the 28-year-old spiker made significant contributions to Petro Gazz's achievements, including securing silver medals in both the 2022 Open Conference and the 2023 First All-Filipino Conference.
As she transitions to Akari, Soltones is set to become a vital part of the Chargers' core lineup, joining forces with notable players such as Dindin Santiago-Manabat, Faith Nisperos, Fifi Sharma, Erika Raagas, and Michelle Cobb.
This move marks a significant milestone for Soltones, as she adds Akari to the list of teams she has played for in Sportsvision-organized leagues.
