Returning to the Philippines with Chery Tiggo, Khat Bell wasted no time settling into her rhythm, delivering a standout performance in the Crossovers' victorious debut against the Farm Fresh Foxies in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference.
"I feel like it’s the same. I’m coming with the same mentality, same mindset. It’s been amazing to come back and the hospitality has been unreal," expressed Bell, reflecting on her seamless integration with the team following the match.
The 31-year-old outside spiker, standing tall at 6 feet 2 inches and hailing from the University of Texas, showcased her prowess with an impressive 23 points, complemented by nine excellent digs and six receptions during the fast-paced encounter.
"Chery Tiggo has taken such good care of me, making sure I feel at home and being able to come here and get into dynamics with the team really quickly, they’ve made it so easy for me, actually," Bell acknowledged gratefully.
Having last played in the Philippines in 2020, Bell noted the noticeable evolution in the PVL's competitiveness since then, attributing it to the league's professionalization and expansion.
“It’s a lot faster, having all the teams together and the girls are getting spread out amongst other teams so there’s a lot more competitiveness for sure," she remarked on the league's growth.
Bell's commitment to contributing to Chery Tiggo's success this conference was evident, as she emphasized the need for humility and diligence in navigating the competitive landscape of the league.
“Like I said, four years and I think everyone’s game has developed and changed as well with experience. So I think it’s all about just coming in, just being humble and making sure I do my due diligence as a player and looking out for my opponents, for sure," she affirmed.
