Kianna Dy spearheaded F2 Logistics' block party in their five-set win over Creamline in the 2022 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference, Tuesday.
Dy registered six of the Cargo Movers' 14 kill blocks to finish with 18 points in the 22-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-19, 15-11 come-from-behind win over the Cool Smashers at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The 5-foot-10 opposite spiker said that she just answered head coach Benson Bocboc's challenge of guarding Creamline's deadly spikers in the form of Alyssa Valdez and Jema Galanza, to name a few.
“Well, coach Boc gave me that goal. He said na kailangan ko talagang bantayan yung mga opens so he said that ‘this is your job to block these people’ so I took it as a challenge, ‘okay coach Boc I’ll do my best’ so ayun,” said Dy after the victory.
The 2021 PNVF Champions League MVP also said that her past encounters against Valdez and Galanza definitely helped her against them.
“It was a really hard and good game. You can see naman it was one to one, we kill a ball, they kill a ball so I think it was an advantage also for us to have time to prepare for Creamline,” said Dy.
“Yeah, we played against Alyssa and Jema during our college years so we know already how they move, how they play, so it was kinda an advantage pero syempre inaral pa rin namin. Players they change naman, in college they were spiking like this but they can evolve also so inaral talaga namin yung Creamline,” she added.
The Cargo Movers moved up to 3-2 while also handing the Cool Smashers their first loss in six games.
