Max Juangco, Kiesha Bedonia turn pro

Far Eastern University standouts Max Juangco and Kiesha Bedonia have decided to turn pro, signing with Akari and PLDT, respectively, for the upcoming 2024 Premier Volleyball League season.

Juangco is expected to fill the role left by libero Justine Jazareno, who recently took a leave of absence from the Chargers due to pregnancy.

The young defensive ace recently suited up for Akari in the Akari Cup, where they finished second after losing to Adamson University in the title match.

"Bravely charging into the pros is the talented libero from Far Eastern University, Maxine Juangco," announced the team.

"Her MAXimum effort on the defensive end will elevate the Akari Chargers to another level this season. Welcome to Chargers ground, Max."

Meanwhile, the High-Speed Hitters received a boost in the scoring department with the arrival of Bedonia as Kianna Dy is expected to miss some time due to a knee injury.

Bedonia has not suited up for the Lady Tamaraws in the UAAP, but she already made herself known following a stellar stint in the V-League Collegiate Challenge where she was named Best Outside Spiker.
