Jerry Yee has been tasked to lead Petro Gazz for the upcoming 2022 Premier Volleyball League season.
Yee was the first-ever head coach of the Angels when they joined the league in 2018.
"Coach Jerry is back leading the staff starting this year, as head coach," said Angels team manager Camille Cruz.
Back in 2018, Yee guided the Angels to fifth- and fourth-place finishes during the Reinforced and Open Conferences, respectively.
Though Arnold Laniog was named as the head coach of the team a year later, Yee remained on board as a team consultant.
"After several meetings and discussions among coaching staff and management, we've come up with this decision moving forward," Cruz said about Yee's new designation.
Laniog will still be part of the team's staff.
Last season, Petro Gazz finished in third place.
