PLDT shrugged off Akari’s big surge in the second set with a dominant run in the next then re-asserted its might in the fourth to fashion out a 25-14, 21-25, 25-12, 25-15 victory and tie idle F2 Logistics at 4-1 in the 2023 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday.
The victory was the High Speed Hitters’ fourth straight after dropping a five-setter to the Cargo Movers as they moved to joint second while firming up their semifinal drive in pursuit of a solid finish after placing fifth in the league’s season-opening conference last year.

While the victory was a team effort, Jovie Prado's all-around game was particularly impressive. With eight points, 14 excellent digs, and 10 excellent receptions, she played a pivotal role in the team's success.
On the other hand, Akari struggled to match PLDT's intensity, with only Dindin Santiago-Manabat managing to reach double digits with 10 points.
Eli Soyud and Trisha Genesis contributed seven points each, but it wasn't enough to prevent the team from dropping to 1-4 in a tie with the Cignal HD Spikers.
