PLDT outduels F2 Logistics for 5th

PLDT blew a big lead in the fourth set but broke away midway in the decider to essay a 25-21, 21-25, 25-17, 28-30, 15-8 victory over F2 Logistics and clinch fifth place in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference Classification Round at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan. Tuesday.

The High Speed Hitters looked poised to wrap it up in four after taking control midway through and into the stretch but fell into a maze of errors, enabling the Cargo Movers to mount a comeback from 19-23 down, extend the set and pull off the win.

PLDT had 17 miscues, including a cluster of service errors in the stretch, in the fourth.

Jovie Prado, who only played three sets, chipped in 11 points while Jules Samonte and Mika Reyes added 10 and nine points, respectively.

Rhea Dimaculangan tossed 38 excellent sets along with four points while Kath Arado collected 29 excellent digs and 20 excellent receptions.

On the other hand, Majoy Baron led the Cargo Movers with 13 points on seven attacks, five blocks, and an ace while Kianna Dy added 12 points.

Kim Fajardo scattered 26 excellent sets, 13 excellent digs, and a point while Dawn Macandili had 25 excellent digs and 17 excellent receptions.

F2 Logistics settled fo sixth in its first foray in the PVL.
