Storied volleyball franchise PLDT Home Fibr will open its new era with a new name.
No longer will they be called the Home Fibr Power Hitters as the team will now be known as the High Speed Hitters.
The team made the reveal on its new Facebook page on Thursday evening.
Through the years, the team was called the PLDT Home Telpad Turbo Boosters (2014), Home Ultera Ultra Fast Hitters (2015), and Home Fibr Power Hitters (2021).
The MVP Group-owned team also carried PayMaya back in 2018.
PLDT opens a new era in its program as for the first time in eight years, Roger Gorayeb will no longer call the shots for the team.
"Very grateful ako sa PLDT and memorable talaga yung last eight years," said Gorayeb.
"Kahit nung nagkasakit at parang mamamatay na ako nung 2019, hindi nila ako pinabayaan. Talagang nagpapasalamat ako sa kanila," continued the V-League's only triple crown champion, who was diagnosed with multiple myeloma two years ago.
PLDT is set to unveil its new coach on Friday followed by their new signings.
