F2 Logistics’ journey in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference started with a bang as they triumphed over PLDT in an intense five-set match.
This was a debut match for Regine Diego, who was named as the head coach of the team, and she had a lot of positive things to say about her team's performance.
Diego acknowledged that there is still a lot of room for improvement and that the match against PLDT showed the team what they need to work on.
"It's a good way for us to know what challenges we will face in the future and how we can adjust," she said. "We saw what we lack and where we are good at, so we can make adjustments for our next game."
F2 Logistics took an early 2-0 lead by winning the first two sets, but PLDT fought back and took the next two sets to force a deciding fifth set. The Cargo Movers managed to edge out PLDT with a 16-14 win in the final set, but the head coach is determined to make changes to ensure that her team won't struggle like this again.
"All teams have attitudes, and sometimes they wait for a challenge before they fight. We need to change this attitude and fight from the start. We can't wait. There are still many things that need to be fixed, but we can't relax. This was just one win, and it was a difficult win, so we need to improve every day and work even harder," she said.
Despite the shaky performance, Diego was happy with how her team fought back against a strong PLDT side that nearly took the win.
"I'm happy because we won, of course. I also saw how courageous my players are," she said.
Overall, it was a successful debut for Regine Diego and F2 Logistics, and it's clear that they have big plans for the future. With hard work and determination, there's no telling how far they can go in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.
