ILOCOS NORTE -- It's just like the old times for sisters Jaja and Dindin Santiago as their long-awaited reunion inside the court finally happened at the PCV Socio-Civic Cultural Center here in Bacarra on Saturday.
Together, the Chery Tiggo towers unleashed hell against PLDT, spearheading the 25-20, 25-17, 25-6 victory.
Dindin ended up with 12 points built on 10 attacks, a block, and an ace while her younger sister tallied 11 points founded on seven attacks and four aces.
"Siyempre masaya kasi after ilang taon na hindi kami nagkasama sa loob ng court. Andyan ulit yung taong umaalalay sakin at the same time ganun din ako sa kanya," said Jaja.
"Sobrang saya kasi lagi kong hinahanap yung kapatid ko sa court and eto na magkasama na kami so sobrang saya," echoed Dindin.
Aside from their reunion, they also made history together.
With the win, Dindin, Jaja, and Chery Tiggo will forever be etched in the annals of volleyball history for winning the first-ever professional match on local soil.
"Nakikita ko naman na sa aming dalawa ni Ate Dindin talaga pag magkasama kami yung challenge, yung pagalalay sa isa't isa, talagang gumaganda and all," Jaja bared.
The last time Jaja and Dindin shared the taraflex was on August 24, 2019.
Chery Tiggo will face Cignal at 6:00 PM on Monday.
