Former F2 Logistics outside spiker Shola Alvarez is moving to Galeries.
With the signings of Dawn Macandili, Ara Galang, and Aby Marano with Chery Tiggo, Majoy Baron, Kianna Dy, and Kim Fajardo to PLDT, Mars Alba being tapped by Choco Mucho, Jovelyn Fernandez being locked by Cignal, Myla Pablo and Joy Dacoron returning home to Petro Gazz, and Ivy Lacsina heading to Nxled signing with their respective new ball clubs, Alvarez is one of the few Cargo Movers still available for free agency.
During her nearly two-year run with the Cargo Movers, the former NCAA MVP largely played off the bench, backing up players like Pablo, Galang, and Jolina Dela Cruz.
Alvarez also played for Tacloban and PLDT prior to F2.
Besides Alvarez, Galeries also signed opposite hitter France Ronquillo and setter Renee Mabilangan.
Ronquillo previously played for Chery Tiggo while Ronquillo was a reserve player for NU.
