ILOCOS NORTE -- Sta. Lucia kept its late surge in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference going, logging a 25-13, 25-18, 25-16 victory over Perlas at the PCV Socio-Civic Cultural Center in Bacarra, Tuesday.
Sta. Lucia still remains Chery Tiggo and Petra Gazz in the battle for two of the semis slots with a 5-3 mark.
"Siguro kung ano yung straight wins namin masasabi natin na pinaghirapan ng bawat isa yun, talagang yung dedication, yung motivation, yung focus, lahat yun," said Sta. Lucia head coach Eddieson Orcullo.
MJ Philips uncorked a 16-hit game while Jovie Prado continued to dish out top form, finishing with 10 hits, and Jonah Sabete and Mika Reyes added nine points a piece for the Realtors, who finished with eight blocks against two by Perlas and pounced on their rivals' sloppy reception to record eight aces.
"'Pag ikaw yung nakabubble sabi nga nila wala kang ibang gagawin kung hindi maglaro pero bukod dun sa paglalaro kailangan yung mindset ng bawat isa maayos," he continued.
While the Lady Realtors stayed in contention, the Spikers, drew eight points apiece from Sue Roces and Jho Maraguinot, bowed out with a 1-5 slate.
