Cha Behag relishes return, vows to put in the work

Cha Cruz-Behag made her highly anticipated return to the court on Tuesday night during the 2023 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.

After a four-year hiatus from competitive volleyball, Cruz-Behag made her F2 Logistics return against a red-hot PLDT team and helped her team secure a victory in five sets.

The Cargo Movers started strong, taking the first two sets with ease, but PLDT fought back and tied the match in the third and fourth sets. Despite the challenges they faced, Cruz-Behag was grateful for the opportunity to improve as a team.

“As a team, we feel like it’s a good challenge for us to show what we’re made of and what we need to improve on. A win is a win, but we still have a lot of lapses that need fixing,” said the four-time UAAP champion.

While Cruz-Behag is still working on getting back to her competitive form, she recognizes the importance of her role on the team. “Personally, it’s a process. I know I made a lot of errors in the game, but I’m working hard every day to get back to where I was.”

F2 Logistics head coach Regine Diego is grateful to have veteran leaders like Cruz-Behag and Aby Marano on her team.

“Of all the people in F2, Cha and Aby have been with me the longest and I trust that they know what to do. They have the leadership skills, and I know they will lead the team well. When the team is well-led, you can see the results in their performance,” said Diego.

Overall, the team is eager to continue improving and working towards their goals for the rest of the conference. “This is just the start of the conference, and we have a lot more to face and a lot more to improve on as a team. We’ll continue to guide each other and work towards our goals,” said Cruz-Behag.
