Cignal backup setter Ayel Estra?ero made the most out of her minutes on Saturday night.
The former UP playmaker was plugged into the starting line-up against Chery Tiggo after starting setter Gel Cayuna sat out the contest to rest as per HD Spikers head coach Shaq delos Santos.
Estra?ero finished with 12 excellent sets to lead Cignal's 25-23, 25-16, 25-18 sweep of Chery Tiggo in the 2022 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre.
"Yung simpleng tapik nila, yung simpleng instructions ni coach malaking bagay," said Estra?ero during the post-match interview.
"Very grateful kay Lord kasi hindi naman namin maa-achieve 'to without His guidance and syempre sa trust din ng coaches and teammates and sa tulong din nila. Yung lakas ko talaga saka yung confidence ko nanggagaling din sa tiwala nila sa akin," she added.
The 25-year-old setter said that it was a privilege to work with the likes of Rachel Daquis, Ces Molina, and Ria Meneses, to name a few.
So, she just made sure to relish the experience that she shared with her 'ates.'
"Syempre privilege yun kasi hindi naman lahat gets the chance para maging teammate sila and iba rin kasi yung nabibigay nila na... alam ko kapag nag-set ako kahit magkamali ako gagawin nila yung best nila," said Estra?ero.
"Syempre veterans na rin sila, iba rin talaga yung meron kang mga ate sa loob ng court."
