Chery Tiggo team captain Mylene Paat showed the biggest heart in the Crossovers’ four-set victory against Choco Mucho on Tuesday afternoon.
Paat suffered from leg cramps early in the fourth set but made the decision to stay inside the court.
In the end, she ended up with a match-high 25 points on 21 attacks, two kill blocks, and two aces to power her team to a 29-27, 18-25, 25-16, 25-20 victory over the Flying Titans that catapulted them back to the top of the standings with a 4-0 standing.
More importantly, Paat, who provided veteran presence for Chery Tiggo late in the fourth, helped the Crossovers move on the verge of a semis spot following back-to-back eighth-place finishes in the first two conferences.
Ayun, sobrang thankful talaga ako,” said Paat.
Paat, who was part of the Chery Tiggo team that copped the first-ever PVL professional title in the Ilocos bubble, knows that the road back to the top is a tough one.
This is why she urges her teammates to stay focused as they try to end the 2022 season with a bang.
