Pablo stresses Petro Gazz need to outwork Creamline in Game Two

ILOCOS NORTE -- Myla Pablo said the Petro Gazz Angels have to double their effort in Game 2 for them to live another day in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference semifinals.

Pablo unleashed 26 points but Petro Gazz blew a 2-1 lead, yielding to Creamline, 29-27, 23-25, 25-16, 17-25, 14-16, in Game 1 of their best-of-three semis series on Sunday at the PCV Socio-Civic and Cultural Center here in Bacarra.

"Sayang talaga yung game, pero at least lumaban din kami and alam din naman namin na hindi bibitawan ng Creamline 'tong game na 'to," said Pablo after the loss.

"Siguro mas gusto lang talaga manalo ng Creamline ng fifth set. Do kami naman parang na rattle na rin siguro kami dahil ang dami naming mga error, may mga receive na nagkaka-misunderstanding."

The former league MVP said they lack communication in the fifth set that's why they ran out of gas.

"Hindi lang din talaga kami nagkaintindihan talaga nung fifth set and then siguro hindi namin naisip na hanggang 15 lang pala 'tong fifth na 'to so iniisip talaga namin na mag laro na lang as a team kung palalarin kami, thank God. Kung hindi, babawi na lang kami sa next game," she said.

With their backs now against the wall, Pablo said the Angels have to give their all to extend the series.

"Kung ano man yung nilaro namin this game na 'to kailangan talaga mas pukpok pa sa loob ng court kasi crucial game e. Ibibigay namin yung best namin," she said.
