The echoes of Farm Fresh's nail-biting opening clash against reigning champion Creamline still resonated in the Philsports Arena, but what emerged from the shadows of defeat was a revitalized and determined Foxies team ready to challenge all odds in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.
Trisha Tubu emphasized that the tight four-set loss to the Cool Smashers catalyzed the team's newfound confidence.
Despite falling short in their inaugural match last Saturday, Tubu noted that the experience against the champion team was invaluable, setting the stage for a resilient comeback.
And come back they did.
In a resounding display of resilience and skill, Farm Fresh faced off against the up-and-coming Capital1, securing a convincing sweep with scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-16 on Thursday.
"Maganda siya para samin kasi ayun nga, champion team tapos ang ganda pa po nung game, nung first set," shared Tubu, who spearheaded the victory with a game-high 15 points against the Solar Spikers.
The Foxies showcased their mettle from the onset, stunning the Rebisco-backed squad in the opening set.
Tubu and Alyssa Bertolano orchestrated a masterful performance, clinching the extended frame.
Although Farm Fresh conceded the next two sets in closely contested battles, the team's fighting spirit was evident.
Reflecting on the challenging opener against Creamline, Tubu acknowledged the invaluable lessons learned.
"Nung first game pong ‘yun, marami rin po kaming natutunan that game na alam naming magagamit namin at makakatulong sa team namin all throughout the season," shared the 23-year-old opposite spiker out of Adamson.
While recognizing the need for further refinement, Tubu expressed optimism about the team's trajectory.
"May mga konting mga lapses pa po pero yun po, alam namin na all throughout the conference is mapo-polish pa talaga namin," she affirmed.
Farm Fresh's emphatic response against Capital1 not only secured a crucial victory but also served notice to the league that the Foxies are a force to be reckoned with as they strive to exceed expectations in the PVL arena.
